I am an expressionistic painter fascinated by art making and art history. My work is about connecting to the past and drawing from my imagination . It’s about exploring what art is and sometimes what it isn’t. It’s thinking on a picture plane. Sort of like when I was in elementary school and had a math homework. I was instructed to “show my work” that the answer alone wasn’t satisfactory. My paintings are all connected. They are ME working out to answers philosophical questions. They are ME adding beauty to a room. They are evidence of my existence and reason for being.
